We’re thrilled to announce the official launch of the Unipod Rwanda Student Club, a dynamic initiative aimed at empowering the next generation of Rwandan innovators. Comprised of 21 student leaders from various student clubs and associations, the Unipod Rwanda Student Club serves as a vibrant hub for technological exploration and collaboration. These student leaders, known as Unipod ambassadors, bring diverse academic backgrounds, expertise, and passion to this exciting venture.
Established in collaboration with the University of Rwanda’s College of Science and Technology Guild Council, the Unipod Rwanda Student Club provides a platform for students to cultivate their skills in cutting-edge technologies. Our inaugural training session, focused on 3D design and printing, was guided by our Fab Master, Mr. Kawayida Mugwaneza Lars Miky.
During the session, students delved into the intricacies of 3D design software, Solidworks, exploring its libraries, component functions, and embarking on their own design projects. Additionally, they learned about Ultimaker Cura, vital for translating designs into a format compatible with Unipod’s 3D printers.
The Unipod Rwanda Student Club’s training program promises to equip students with diverse skills across various technological fields, fostering an environment of innovation. We eagerly anticipate sharing updates on the club’s activities and forthcoming training sessions in our future newsletters. Stay tuned for more exciting developments!
